The F Plate will allow road users to show respect to all deceased loved ones - The F Plate will
help to bring RESPECT back to our roads!
Funeral directors are urging drivers to show more respect after a survey suggested road rage against corteges has become commonplace. Research found more than half of drivers had seen others cutting into a procession or overtaking aggressively (BBC Wales April 2011).
The F Plate has been uniquely designed to be displayed on the back and front of vehicles following a funeral procession. This will make it easier for other road users to identify what cars are part of a funeral cortege and allow them to show RESPECT.
The F Plate has received support from former Transport Minister Rosie Winterton MP, and Robert Halfon MP (pictured above) Robert Halfon is also supporting my campaign to have The F Plate included in The Highway Code.
Below is what Robert Halfon MP, Howarth Funeral Service and the Natural Death Centre have to say about The F Plate:
"How often have you watched funeral corteges be overtaken by unthinking drivers? Even worse, you may have been part of that Cortege, grieving, behind the main funeral car, and someone behind beeps at you or speeds past, taking no consideration that you may be part of a funeral procession. Lynn Culver has come up with an interesting proposal to deal with this problem: The F Plate. I think the F Plate is a great idea and I plan to promote it in Parliament. The F Plate could be included as part of the Highway Code. Lynn has patented her design and idea". Robert Halfon MP
"What a simple but wonderful idea, Why has no-one ever thought of that before. This is what the Funeral Trade has been waiting for". Howarth Funeral Service, Wakefield
Following a deceased loved one to the final resting place is a time held tradition however with the amount of traffic on the roads and with no universal sign at present it is a very difficult thing to do.
